Our moon is “just right” for these three reasons

1. Without our moon and its gravitational pull on the earth, the tilt of our planet would vary from zero to 85 degrees, producing catastrophic climate changes.

2. It's gravity creates tidal movement. Thus, ocean waters do not stagnate—they clean the waters on the coasts from toxins and enrich them with nutrients.

3. Our moon is huge: Its mass ratio compared to Earth is 50 times greater than that of any other known moon-planet combination.

The Evolutionist Theories

1. Giant impact theory, a Mars sized planet called Theia crashed into earth about 100 million years after the earth formed and created the moon. About 4.4 billion

years ago. Amazing that this planet may have crashed into earth has been given a name.

2. Co-formation theory, moon formed at the same time as earth – by smaller particles joining to create the moon.

3. Capture theory – the gravity of the earth captured smaller planets until they developed into the moon.
